The injections take fifteen minutes — but the next 48 hours decide how beautifully your results settle. Good aftercare keeps the product exactly where your dermatologist placed it and helps you heal invisibly. Here's the routine we give every Aldercrest patient.
The first four hours matter most
Stay upright and use your treated muscles gently — raise your brows, squint, smile. These small movements help the product bind evenly. Avoid rubbing or pressing the area, lying face-down, or pulling tight headwear over your forehead.
What to skip for 24–48 hours
- Strenuous exercise — elevated blood pressure can increase bruising and product migration.
- Heat exposure — saunas, hot yoga, long hot showers and sunbathing for two days.
- Alcohol and blood thinners — skip alcohol, aspirin and fish-oil supplements for 24 hours unless prescribed.
- Facials and face-down massage — wait at least two weeks before any treatment involving pressure.
Skincare: keep it simple
For the first evening, cleanse gently and moisturize — that's it. Reintroduce retinoids, exfoliating acids and vitamin C after 48 hours. And wear SPF 30+ daily: UV breaks down results faster and darkens any tiny bruise.
When will I see results?
Most patients notice softening at day 3–5, with full effect at two weeks — which is exactly when we schedule your complimentary review. If one brow sits higher or a line persists, a small touch-up perfects it. Results typically last 3–4 months; regular maintenance keeps muscles trained and lines progressively softer.
